convention woes

Homeschool convention is this weekend. I have mixed feelings. I'm looking through the breakout seminars, and honestly, not much is jumping out at me. Ginger Plowman pulled out due to a family emergency, and she was the one I was looking forward to hearing the most. I am happy to see Rebecca Keller, author of the REAL Science 4 Kids curriculum, is speaking on Friday. I know I'll go to that one. I need to pray that my attitude changes soon.

I hope you do get inspired along the way at the convention. Maybe just being with the other moms and families will do the trick.

All my HS friends LOVE going to the conventions...not only for the seminars but to be able to get their hands on books (and to score some good deals!). I think you will enjoy it, but most importantly I think what you will walk away with is an inoculation of encouragement for the coming year! Which is exactly what you'll need! Go and enjoy yourself!

You may be pleasantly surprised. The convention I had to attend for some continuing ed credits was on Animated Literacy which I knew very little about but had heard enough to be annoyed that I'd have to spend a whole day hearing about it. BUT...I was amazed at how much I learned and actually came away LIKING the program! No doubt God will use the experience to enrish you in one way or another. ;)
