Those were pre-Karisa days...I didn't show up until 2 years after the eruption...but I wonder if it's one of the reasons I have asthma... ;)
I was 5... I remember looking at a Time Magazine at the pictures after the fact. I also had an uncle in Washington State... I wondered if his house would blow up.
