Here's newest blanket for my friend "C" for the impending arrival of "G". Is that anonymous enough?

Softie is gone. Toll the bells. Play a dirge. Hopefully Ingrid's thumb-sucking habit has disappeared along with it. My hope, now, is that I find the lost remnant of her beloved blankie before SHE does. Sweet Ilsa was so concerned about her big sissy's well-being that she offered Ingrid her baby mini-blanket to which she never became attached (she uses it as a dolly blanket).

most recent crochet project

Just finished this "Cozy Whisper" afghan from the Leisure Arts crochet book: Our Best Baby Afghans, my new favorite crochet book.

I adjusted it slightly by not adding the fringe, and instead, applying a hdc border all the way around, and a 3-chain picot edge on the short ends.

Thanks to Yarn Jeannie for her help on my most-recent project. I did something a little simpler than the beautiful pattern she suggested, but am going to use her suggested pattern soon...I have quite a few baby blankets in the queue!

Well, here's the blankie I finished for Baby Collette, who is probably on her way as I am posting. It's definitely not heirloom quality -- little raggedy ends just popped out all over after I washed it. I just don't make tight stitches (I even undersized the hook by a size) and subsequently, the ends don't remain hidden. I think my problem is that I like using lighter-weight yarns. I did like the color combo of this blanket, though: I called it "strawberry cream chocolate bon bon" over on my ravelry.com project page.
